Award-Winning Rug Cleaning Bridgend (With Free Collection And Delivery)
Operating from our Bridgend rug cleaning spa, we offer a fully insured, premium rug cleaning service based in Brynmenyn, Bridgend.
Other carpet cleaners in Bridgend are only able to clean rugs in a customer’s home, meaning it’s only possible to do a very light clean and therefore achieve compromised results (or if not, they may outsource the cleaning process to a large rug cleaning plant).
Our service is based on a time-proven rug cleaning process that achieves the very best results possible.
The result is that your rugs will be returned beautifully clean, fresh and dry.
We also offer a convenient collect, clean and return delivery service throughout Bridgend and the surrounding areas (although you’re more than welcome to drop off your rugs to us at any time).
We collect and clean rugs from customers from all over South Wales and we recently restored beautiful Persian rug for the popular BBC TV program, Changing Rooms.
Here’s what Laurence Llewellyn Bowen said about our rug cleaning service:
“I wanted to let you know that Laurence Llewellyn Bowen was amazed at how well the rug had come up with cleaning, and wanted me to tell you what a great job you had done on it.”
-BBC producer
Rug cleaning is not a straightforward process and it should not be undertaken by part-time carpet cleaners with little to no knowledge of rug identification.
It is crucial that your rug cleaner chooses the correct method of cleaning your rugs and uses chemicals and a process that will not damage your rugs or cause them to unnecessarily bleed their dyes.
Our Bridgend Rug Cleaning Spa
In the wrong hands, delicate and valuable rugs can quite easily be damaged and special care needs to be taken prior to wetting or adding chemicals to a rug.
The use of inappropriate cleaning chemicals or sloppy techniques can permanently damage a rug and cause colours to run.
This is why we follow an exhaustive process in order to make sure your rugs are structurally sound and looking beautiful when we return them to you.
Here’s a breakdown of one of the cleaning processes we may use to clean your rugs once they’ve arrived at our rug cleaning spa in Bridgend.
Step 1: First Inspection
If we are picking up your rug from you, then we will first inspect your rug in your home, identifying the rug and checking if there is any damage to the fibres or fringes along with identifying any stains.
We will then photograph and label it before it’s rolled and placed in our van.
Step 2: Testing
Once your rug arrives in our unit, we will test the dyes for colorfastness.
Having previously identified individual stains, some may require individual specialist treatment before we commence the main cleaning process.
Step 3: Professional Vacuuming & Rug Dusting
After vacuuming your rug front and back, we de-dust your rug with a specialist vibrating machine that we run across the back of the rug. This releases soiling that would otherwise prove very difficult to remove (and it’s the type of soil that acts as an abrasive that damages your rug).
Then, as a final dusting measure, we use compressed air to blow away any remaining dust from the surface of the rug.
Step 4: Washing Pit
Our rug wash pit allows us to thoroughly clean your rug in fresh water using gentle rug cleaning solutions and a rotary machine with brushes that will agitate the dirt and soiling from the fibres.
Once we’ve removed all the dirt, we flush and compress the rug to remove excess moisture, before working separately on any fringes or edging.
Step 5: Drying & Setting The Pile
Once most of the excess moisture has been removed, we’ll use a combination of an extraction wand and a water claw to remove most remaining moisture, before grooming to set the pile and then hanging to dry on our drying racks.
To facilitate drying, we use turbo dryers, heaters and dehumidifiers in order to dry your rug as fast as possible.
Step 6: Final Inspection
Once completely dry, we’ll inspect your rug to ensure there are no remaining stains that should have been removed and no trace of pre-existing odour.
If the rug needs further treatment, we will carry it out at this stage and dry the areas once again.
Step 7: Delivery
Before delivery, we wrap your rug in breathable plastic before returning it to your home beautifully clean.
Additional Specialist Rug Cleaning Treatments and Repairs
Stain Protection: We offer a high-grade stain protection treatment that will help protect your rug from future dirt and spills.
Moth Treatment: In addition to treating rugs that have been damaged by moths, we also use a specialist treatment that kills their eggs and helps prevent future moth visits!
Dye Bleed Reversal: The dyes of a rug are sometimes susceptible to bleeding and this may cause the colours to run and set into different colours in the rug. This could be cause by a skilled cup of coffee, a pet accident or flood.
We are able to perform a dye bleed correction that can completely reverse the colour damage in many cases.
Rug Re-colouring: We are one of only a handful of UK companies who are able to re-colour sun damaged or urine stained rugs. Using bespoke airbrush equipment, we’re often able to re-colour sun fading, bleach and urine stains to an original exact match.
Re-Tufting: If you have an area of your rug that has been damaged or worn and frayed, we can re-tuft it and bring it back to it’s original condition.
Award Winning & TACCA Approved Rug Cleaning Bridgend
We have twice won the title of “Best Business In Bridgend” (2015 and 2016) as voted for by customers of businesses based in the borough.
We are also proud members of the Approved Carpet Cleaners Association (TACCA) and attend as many rug cleaning training days and industry events as possible.
